Healthy eating is not just a trend — it’s a way of life. Get hands-on cooking experience in the Nutrition for Healthy Lifestyles lab preparing delicious, nutritious dishes to take home and share with your family and friends! Review the basics of nutrition, modify recipes to be gluten-free, vegan or low sugar and grocery shop on a budget.

This camp will focus on the enhancement of the following Essential Skills

Continuous learning, Reading, Thinking

SAFETY NOTE: Campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the camp.

All participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes and full-length pants in the kitchen or labs. Participants with long hair should bring elastics to tie back their hair.

Camp includes the preparation of foods containing nuts, fish and seafood. SAIT's kitchens and bakeries process nuts and other allergens.
